Getting to the event

Did you know that travel is one of the biggest sources of event-related emissions? Choosing trains, bikes or walking helps cut carbon and supports Liverpool’s sustainability goals as a United Nation Accelerator City. You can check your national and international journey options and compare COâ‚‚ emissions on Google Maps .

You can also check out the Merseytravel website for local public transport information, including a journey planner. You can also follow Merseytravel on X (Twitter) or call 0300 131 2881 for the latest service updates. Lines are open from 7am to 8pm weekdays and 8am to 6pm on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays. Calls to 0300 numbers are charged at local rate.

Train

Taking the train instead of driving creates an average 67% less COâ‚‚! You can calculate the carbon saving for your journey and pledge to support net zero here https://www.thetrainline.com/sustainable-travel
