The organising committee for the World Boxing Championships 2025 is committed to having a positive impact beyond the ring, and in delivering this, it is supported by the purpose-led independent law firm, Brabners who are a partner of the event.

 

In the months building-up to the World Boxing Championships, Brabners and the organising committee will deliver a range of social impact projects across the Liverpool City Region and the North West designed to engage with local communities and provide opportunities for thousands of people to benefit from the staging of the Championships in Liverpool.

The programme is being managed and delivered by England Boxing, with support from Liverpool City Council, UK Sport and Brabners.

Working with employment and education charity, Coach Core, to appoint a Coaching Apprentice who will be tasked with delivering more than 1,100 hours of community coaching over an initial 15 month period.

100 new Boxing Activators in schools and community groups across Liverpool, delivering England Boxing's entry level non-contact programme, which promotes healthy living and fitness among young people. Creating over 30,000 opportunities to try out the sport

An extensive programme of Boxing Club support will also be made available, including courses to support the qualification of 35 coaches and 20 officials. 

Furthermore extensive support will be made available to support clubs develop their operations and recruit additional volunteers.

Buddle is a Sport England programme that provides free learning & support resources to inspire & strengthen sports clubs. They share the latest information, training and tools to help clubs overcome challenges and make the most of opportunities available to them.

500 tickets will also be distributed to Liverpool Clubs, alongside our "Un-sung Hero's" designed to celebrate the hard-working volunteers that make the sport possible across the city

Boxing clubs across the region will benefit from legacy equipment from the championships, including boxing gloves and head guards provided by our partner Sting.

A specially designed education programme "Literacy Kicks", themed around local boxing heroes, such as Natasha Jonas, which will be delivered in 20 primary schools and reach up to 1,200 pupils.

Delivery of England Boxing's "Coaching People with Parkinson's" course, developed in association with Parkinsons UK, to upskill 20 boxing coaches to be able to deliver non-contact boxing to people with Parkinsons.

The Power of Events (UK) is a not-for-profit company established in 2022 to deliver a much-needed comprehensive platform that for the first time provides a showcase of the UK events industry.

 

The WBC2025 is a proud supporter of Power of Events, and is enabling them to deliver workshops in schools across Merseyside and the North West, showcasing the career opportunities available in the world of major event delivery.
